👾Create a Wallet

Step : Launch the App

• Once installed, open the Pondo Wallet app.

Step : Set Up a New Wallet

• On the welcome screen, you’ll see two options:

  • Create New Wallet: Select this to create a new wallet.

  • Import Existing Wallet: If you already have a wallet and a recovery phrase, choose this option.

Step : Generate a Recovery Key

• After choosing to create a new wallet, the app will generate a Recovery Key (a list of 12 words).

  • Important: Write down the 12-word recovery phrase somewhere safe. This is crucial for recovering your wallet if you lose access.

Step : Verify Your Recovery Key

• The app will prompt you to verify the recovery key by selecting the words in the correct order.

• Complete this verification step to confirm that you’ve safely stored the recovery key.

Step : Secure the Wallet

• Set a PIN or password to secure the wallet.

• Optionally, enable biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition) if your device supports it.
